Charging Methods
There are three different ways to charge your Outlander PHEV, and you can monitor the vehicle's levels using either the Outlander PHEV app or the touchscreen.
Level One: at home with a standard 120V outlet. You can reach full charge in 8 hours.
Level Two: at a public charging station with a 240V outlet. Full charge takes about 4 hours. You can also have this setup installed at your home.
Fast Charge: At a CHAdeMO public charging station you can be back up to full in 25 minutes or less. Luckily, Chicago has several of these locations!
Differences Between the Outlander PHEV and gasoline Outlander
Aside from the badges, if you look at the outside the two are practically twins! But there are some key differences, aside from the powertrains.
Seating: instead of seating seven, the Outlander PHEV has room for five passengers. The good thing is you'll get more cargo space.
Trims: the standard Outlander has five trims. The Outlander PHEV has two to choose from - the SEL and GT.
AWC: on the Outlander, shoppers can choose between FWD or all-wheel control (aka: AWD). On the Outlander PHEV the AWC is standard.
Trim Levels
The Outlander PHEV has an impressive list of features. LED accent lights, a power liftgate, 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ capabilities, leather seats with can be heated and power-adjusted, and even blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. The GT adds on full LED lights, a sunroof, heated steering wheel to enjoy during colder months, more driver safety technologies, and a multi-view camera. Attractive, efficient, and well-equipped? What's not to like!
